Ein Überblick aller wichitgen Events
Twelve hours after the Asayama has ended another event is held at the 11th of July, the Tanagaregaki (他流舁き: carrying through another district). While during the Nagaregaki, each district carries their Kakiyama through their own grounds, during the Tanagaregaki the Kakiyama is carried outside the own district, and through neighbouring ones. This is in order to show respect for each other and better the relationship between the districts. This is the ideal chance to see the Kakiyama of multiple districts. (Depending on the district sometimes the Nagaregaki but not the Tanagaregaki are performed)
At the Tanagaregaki you can not only see the Kakiyama being carried through all parts of Hakata, and sometimes other parts of Fukuoka, there is also the practice of Kushida-iri (櫛田入り) where every districts Kakiyama are brought before the Kushida shrine. Accordingly the Kushida-shrine is one of the best places to watch the event, since every Kakiyama is brought there. However the shrine is often crowded with tourists at the time.
In addition it is tradition for the Kakiyama to be carried to Hakata Station, the Fukuoka senior high school and the Fukuoka prefectorial office. Shoppers and tourists are often shocked to suddenly see a running mob carrying a Kakiyama toward them.
